Our Development Program for Kids makes it simple to have a ski holiday with the kids and ads to the fun and ease of your family vacation.

Having already made friends with the other kids on holidays with us, during the kids welcome reception, they will enjoy skiing/riding with their new friends throughout the week.

With the kids already having new friends to ski and play with the family holiday becomes a great fun for everyone.

While families enjoy quality time together, there is also quality time apart. Our Kids Program takes place at the same time daily as the Adult Program. The kids are grouped the same way as the adults with a maximum of 6 per group. We make sure that the skill level and ages blend well in each group. Kids look at this program as being very different from ski school for example, there are no branded vests to wear.

The Development Program, designed specifically for children aged 4-12yrs, sees children skiing/riding three hours per day/five days per week under the guidance of our top Instructors. Our Snow-Pros are experienced and competent at providing great care and education to children. The program focuses on improving the child's skiing/snowboarding skills, with safety and fun being top priorities.

Development Program (am):
  • 3 hours per session with 5 sessions per week (9.30am - 12.30pm Mon/Fri)
  • Small numbers - maximum of 6 skiers/boarders to 1 instructor
  • All hot chocolate stops during the program
  • Lunch on Friday with the group and instructor
  • Private/Family groups by prior arrangement
We fully understand that you would not place your children with just anyone. Each of our Development Program Snow-Pros is selected for their experience and expertise. Of course, safety and comfort are always of utmost importance - our Snow Pros ensure ski trails are matched to the kids' level so their confidence is boosted not compromised. Additionally, our staff, including Snow-Pros, all carry powerful two-way radios enabling immediate communications should the need arise.

Children need a more caring hand and this is particularly true when they are in environments which are less forgiving, such as the mountains in the winter time. For this reason our Snow-Pros are all the more vigilant regarding how the kids are feeling and handling the winter elements. Hot chocolate stops are a must to ensure everyone stays warm and energized, so we have included these in the Development Program so you don't have to worry about the kids staying warm. Likewise never again will it matter if they don't have money with them for hot chocolate, we have taken care of it.

Optional Afternoon Skiing/Riding for The Kids
Our snow-pros set aside afternoons every week to be on-snow with guests of all ages in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Afternoon skiing with our on-snow team is not structured as with the Improvement or Development programs. In addition to discovering more of the mountain and likely revisiting the Peanut Trail, afternoon skiing with the kids may include supervised fun games, treasure hunts plus coached technical free skiing and stubby gate training.

This is an opportunity for the kids to explore the mountain just for fun. If they choose not to ski or snowboard, there's plenty of other activity for the kids such as skating on an outdoor rink, fun at the tube park, snowmobiling, sleigh rides and more. Daycare facilities and child minding can also be arranged.

Guided Mountain Discovery:
  • 2 hours per day, 4 days per week
  • 1.30pm to 3.30pm, Monday through Thursday
  • Discover the mountain following our Snow-Pros
  • Practice skills from the morning program or ski/board for fun
  • Great fun skiing/boarding with other children and Snow-Pros
  • Fun activities includes games and treasure hunts
  • Specific skill workshops e.g. technical fee skiing, stubby gate training.
Note: At no time will inverted aerial maneuvers be taught or attempted.
